Lecture Details :
Simon Gachter of the University of Nottingham kicked off our formal seminar series for 2010 with an excellent seminar explaining an experimntal design to evaluate hypotheses about whether explicit perfomance incentives (in the forms of fines or bonuses) would "crowd out" empirically observed incentives for extra , voluntary effort.
