The Potential Step, case E ≥ V₀
We carry out the rigorous calculations to find the reflection and transmission coefficients, the ratio of particles that get reflected and transmitted to the particles incident on the potential step. Even if E ≥ V₀, R is finite (there is reflection of particles) which ONLY occurs in quantum mechanics.
