Ann Brower gives a lively seminar, interspersed with lots of interesting questions, on the question of privatising NZs high country land resources help under a form of land tenure known as a Pastoral Lease. A great introduction to this topical and fascinating topic. This seminar was recorded in Dec 2006. Anns new book Who owns the High Country continues her amazing research programme (Sept 2008 , Craig Potton Publishing httpwww.craigpotton.co.nzproductspublishedbooksbooksocialwhoownsthehighcountry_) This book may do for NZ what The Jungle and Silent Spring did for Health and Safety and Environmental policy in th US in the last century - that is galvanise public opinion around a contentious - and largely hidden from the public eye - land privatisation policy.
