This is lecture 1 of the Java EE Programming class. It covers clientserver, distributed and internet architectural design and introduces the components that are part of the EE "Enterprise" programming environment. Other topics covered are Network Tiers, Design Patterns, Object Request Brokers, and general distributed computing challenges and features. It also covers the concept of web servers, application servers and persistent or data servers. Its a nice overview of an undergraduate networking concepts or design class.
