This video covers the legal aspects of Software Engineering. Trademarks, Copyright, Intellectual Property Rights and Patent Law is discussed. In the video I mention that Copyrighting something is free in the US. It is. However a bit of clarification may be needed. It is a good idea to REGISTER your copyright and this will cost $35 (quite cheap) to do it yourself on the the US Copyright Office website (httpwww.copyright.gov). It is highly recommended to register your copyrighted material however it is NOT required in the US. Most do register their work because it makes it more acknowledged as being copyrighted. Other countries require registration in order for the work to be copyrighted.
